Follow us around the Great Loop

Day #306 - Deltaville, VA

June 2nd, 2009

There was a beautiful sunrise over the marina this morning at 5:30.

It is such a great time of day when the world wakes up and people start to move.  Even the crabbers got an early start.

It is hard to believe we have been 306 days with water at our front and back doors.

We spent the morning doing chores and walking back and forth to the laundry facility.  Not a bad place to do such chores as these are a few of the sights along the way.

Of course, Patti and I couldn’t resist one more trip into Deltaville  just in case we didn’t find another shopping opportunity for the next few days.  This time we didn’t ride in the Mercedes.

I guess they figured it was time to take our turn in the “Road Monster.”  It worked just fine even if it was without air conditioning and it was 88 degrees today.  Note the West Marine in the background.  Not many towns we have been in have a West Marine and a grocery store in the same parking lot.

Bob and Deb took off this morning and headed to Solomons, MD.  We will meet up with them again tomorrow as they decided to stay at the same marina where we will be staying.
