Day #128 - Ft. Myers, FL
December 6th, 2008Andy left at 6:00 this morning and he and Bob went to Sebring, FL to some car races and met Greg Riching there. They had a great time and got back to the boat about 4:00.
I had a busy morning getting things done around the boat and walked to the grocery store. Fred and Ruby Lange came for a visit and brought us a fresh key lime pie. Gave Fred a tour and then they gave me a little driving tour of downtown Ft. Myers and went to lunch. Said a sad good bye to them.
Deb and I walked back up to town and went to the street fair/craft show.
No purchases but a local vendor who crafts with palm fronds gave us a few of his treasures as he was closing up…lovely. Deb says I am getting “Keys Disease!”
Walked around the marina with Andy and met a few people who live aboard here. From all walks of life and from all over the US and Canada. What people won’t do to escape the cold! Some even really decorate for Christmas.
