Follow us around the Great Loop

Day #124 - Cape Coral, FL

December 2nd, 2008

Last night we went over to Vickie and Paul Christianson’s beautiful condo for a drink and munchies.  They live on a canal that connects to the Caloosahatchee River.  Beautiful view and we watched the sun set.  Then they drove and drove and took us to a nice Italian place for dinner. Great dinner and a new concept for us, you can take your own beer and wine into a restaurant.  They provide the corkage and glasses, etc.  Like that concept.  Then they drove us back to the marina.

Rain passed through about 4:00 this morning and winds picked up.  Glad we were safely in a marina and not planning on going anywhere today.  Cool this moring but now it has warmed to 70 degrees and the sun is shining brightly.  Could really get used to this weather in the winter!

Spent a really nice morning with Vickie.  Well, nice for me, she drove me around.  Got a hair cut/color, Italian grocery store, Publix and back to the boat.  Feel like I have gotten a lot accomplished.  Andy, as usual, worked on the boat.

Vickie and Paul must feel responsible for entertaining us as they are coming back to pick us up again at the marina and take us back to their home for dinner.  Hope they know how much we appreciate it and enjoy their company.  Cape Coral is a great place, we really like it.
