Day #111 - Somewhere between Carrabelle and Clearwater, FL
November 19th, 2008This morning this osprey (we think) greeted me at sunrise. He/she was sitting on the piling right off our bow. Nice way to be greeted in the morning.

Well, the day has finally arrived. We are leaving Carrabelle at 3:00 this afternoon to make the run across the Gulf of Mexico to Clearwater…188 miles. After all of the meetings and predictions (NOAA) it appears that the window to cross is this afternoon to tomorrow afternoon. We will run at about 10 mph through the night and should arrive by 10:00 tomorrow morning. Not excited about the night crossing but at this point looks like the safest way to do it. After tomorrow the conditions don’t look to be optimum for almost another week.

Hopefully we will be back in touch tomorrow…after our naps.
