Day #38 - Chicago, IL
September 7th, 2008
Woke to a beautiful morning, although a little cool, in Chicago. Above is the view from the bow of our boat docked in Burnham Harbor. Spent the morning reading the paper, making phone calls and leisurely getting ready for the day. Andy washed the boat and it is clean and shiny again.

Walked over to the Chicago Field Museum and spent several hours being plaque readers and wandering through looking at their exhibits. They had the skeleton of “Sue” the T-Rex discovered in South Dakota among many others. An interesting afternoon.
Next we walked to the nearest (and not that near) grocery store. Guess this is what city dwellers do on Sunday afternoons as it was packed. Got a few things we needed and kept the order small as we had a long walk back to the boat. Came back and unpacked and caught up on national news.
Plan to cook on the boat tonight and decide what the day will hold tomorrow. A beautiful day spent in the Windy City!
